OUR MISSION:

Friends of Nauset Beach is a 501c3 whose goal is to give the beach a voice by  promoting education and ensuring the environmental integrity of the beach, its shore and its public access through community outreach activities. This year we look forward to putting forth a great experience for residents and visitors alike through the Outermost Roots and Blues Festival. We have, and will continue to work with Nate and his team on local initiatives to assist with as the town moves towards the next plans of preserving the integrity of the dunes that protect what we believe to be our towns most valuable resource

Friends of Nauset Beach is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to giving the beach a voice. Our mission is to promote education and ensure the environmental integrity of the beach, its shore, and its public access through community outreach activities.

This year, we are excited to offer a wonderful experience for both residents and visitors through the Outermost Roots and Blues Festival. We have been and will continue to work with The Natural Resources Team on local initiatives as the town develops its plans for preserving the integrity of the dunes, which protect what we believe to be our town's most valuable resource.

Current Project

The Town of Orleans is beginning to plan for the next phase of improvements at Nauset Beach in 2025–2026. The work may include building new public restrooms in the lower lot and designing a new Administration Building in the upper lot. The current Administration Building, which houses the restrooms, first aid room, and lifeguard locker rooms, will need to be removed soon because it no longer has the protection of the coastal dune.

Friends of Nauset Beach is dedicated to working alongside the Town to help ensure that both residents and visitors continue to enjoy the same high level of service at the beach, even as we all adapt to the changes brought by ongoing erosion.
